i tried my hand at some free online animation software.
here's the result:
words are gifts

an empty outbox

typically, my office humor exists as the two dudes in the one cubicle.
in this strip, i wanted to show of my talent with ladies' hairstyles.
this one was probably inspired by my years of terrible short haircuts.

guest artist!

i'm a guest artist on supple wine this week:
http://www.supplewine.com/comics/guest/.
i'm blending two of my passions with this gig.
(comics & wine, in case you were wondering.)

8.07.2009

office mates

these are two recurring characters in the cast of linear thinkers.
i don't know what boss had the brilliance to stick them together in the same cubicle, but they don't really get much work done.

7.25.2009

the blind date

this one is a little more...thinky.
it's also from my college ethics course in 2002, which is why my signature says "jessy seck" (if you can read it).
i find serious stuff to make more sense when it's applicable -- & funny.
as always, click on the comic to read it.

forming culture by vote

how do you get everyone on board with the direction society is headed?
by establishing a deliberate consensus!

cartoons - punchlines = how-to success!

these were two how-to comics i made when i worked as a college counselor to help staff & faculty with ways to refer students for counseling.
they aren't funny, but they accomplished their purpose.

crayola regression

nothing says "perspective" like a close-up on a crayon.
i think i modeled james after 5 guys i went to college with...

5.18.2009

coffee & philosophy

this was my first attempt with adobe illustrator.
i had drawn this comic in my notes during an intro to logic class in college (got some great comic material in that course!).
since i had been banned by my designer friends from using MS paint, i decided to give illustrator a go.

pirate fun

sometimes i draw on paper (like at conferences), and sometimes i use the computer.
this one was done in MS Paint.
i may be the only who still uses that application.

inaugural post: dudes on vacation

this is my first post, as evidenced by none preceding it.
i drew this during a lecture at a conference i don't remember anything from.
click on it for added readability & fun.

oh, and welcome to linear thinking!
